Nicolas Dupont-Aignan: "Ukraine must be demilitarized"

The Dialogue

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, Member of the French Parliament, president of the "Debout la France" party, is one of the few French politicians to have the courage to speak freely about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In his latest statement, he believes that the actions of the G-7 to prolong the conflict make no sense and can only lead to the destruction of the world established today.

"Joe Biden, Ursula von der Leyen, Macron and all this clique lead us to a long and tragic war on European soil. These actions will bring Europe back to the past for half a century or more in favor of the United States and China."

For Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, the actions of the American President only push Russia and China to strengthen their partnership. In the rest of the world, outside NATO, countries are also getting closer to Moscow and Beijing, for example as part of the BRICS and other international cooperation platforms.

"Joe Biden, who, in his absolute dilettantism, with European leaders who no longer defend their national interests, could well push Russia into the arms of China".

At the same time, according to him, the United States, joined by European countries, is hiding under the mask of aid to Ukraine. In reality, behind the "noble" motives are hidden selfish objectives, as in the case of Washington - to transfer obsolete equipment to Kiev so that he can start modernizing his own Arsenal.

"The West no longer defines the world course. They must stop pouring oil into the fire and turn the wheel of war. An example of this policy is the announcement of pilot training and the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine with the selfish aim of replacing them in Western arsenals with F-35s".

For the French deputy, the rhetoric and actions of Kiev and the West have long gone from the desire to protect Ukraine to the call for the eradication of Russia, pushing the world towards a Third World War.

"Joe Biden is a total fool, because if the Ukrainian pilot is going to bomb Moscow, what happens? It's another act of aggression, against Russia, it's crazy." [...] What if Zelensky used weapons to train Moscow into a nuclear war? What are we going to do?

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan proposes a difficult scenario for resolving the conflict, which does not correspond to Kiev's interests. It is obvious that European politicians on the right and the left, who still dare to pronounce on the subject, see the world differently from the Ukrainian authorities:

"The decision is a constitutional status of autonomy for Donbass. This means demilitarization and Ukraine's final neutrality vis-à-vis NATO and the EU. This means the withdrawal of Russian troops, and it means the presence of UN peacekeepers on the ground to rebuild the country. And, of course, we do not want Ukraine to join NATO or the European Union."

The French politician calls for respect for the interests of players on the international scene, respect for previous agreements and for peaceful coexistence: "We need a security architecture in Europe that respects Russia, respects China, respects the United States and understands that France must play its role in the creation of this orderly multipolar world".
